25 Weeks

I can't believe 25 weeks have gone by! Not that they flew by because this summer was definitely extremely hard and went really slow, but I only have 14 weeks until we meet our baby girl! My doctor said that if I am showing signs of going into labor at 38-39 weeks, they will schedule an induction because of how fast Ally's labor was. I would really like to go into labor on my own, but it would be nice to be able to plan having my mom here and Dave getting off of work. I am thankful to have school and the upcoming holidays to distract me from waiting until January!

Proof she is growing!

Time for an update!

Fall is here! The weather may not be as cool as I would like, but we have had a couple of "cool" fronts to give us a break from the heat. I have never been more ready for cooler weather, I guess since I have my own personal heater growing inside of me. I had a doctor's appointment last week and everything is going well. Unfortunately I also got sick last week and finally gave in and went to the doctor on Monday to find out I had an upper respiratory infection. They put me on an antibiotic which I am not at all thrilled to be on. There is something that doesn't settle right about taking medicine to kill something in my body while a baby is growing inside. On the positive side, the girls have gone an entire month of school without getting sick! Last year, we did not make it a full month the entire year. I am not sure if it is the flu shots they got, or better immune systems from being in school last year, but I am really thankful they have stayed healthy so far.
In preparation for the new baby coming, we bunked the girls beds to make more room in the house. I wasn't sure if Emily was ready to be on the top bunk, but she has done great. Ally has only attempted to try and crawl to the top once, she fell about half way up (not getting hurt too bad) and has not attempted it again. The house seems a little bigger because we moved all of the toys into the girls room. It is also easier to clean up everyday because all of the toys go into the same spot instead of all over the house.
Dave has finally moved into outside sales!!! This is his third week and he has been riding around with other salesmen trying to get a feel for the position. He is torn between wanting to go out on his own and try and sell as much as he can and riding with and learning from the more experienced salesmen. We are really excited that he is finally in outside sales because that means in about a year from now, he should be getting his own store to manage!
So fall is officially here and with that comes lots of exciting fall happenings! Just Between Friends is having two huge sales coming up and my mom is going to come and go with me to one of them. We have an outing to Dewberry Farm planned with some church friends and hopefully we will get our pumpkin there! We have signed the girls up for a siblings class at the hospital to prepare them for the baby. Along with school, doctor's appointments, Dave's birthday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, the time is going to fly before the baby comes!

IT'S A GIRL!!!

We found out this week we are going to have another girl! My first reaction when the nurse told us was, "Are you serious? Can you check again?" But then she switched to a 3-D view of the baby and she was sucking her thumb and opening her mouth and she was all cuddled up and I immediately fell in love with her. We were supposed to get the 3-D pics of her but when we got home to load the CD of pics on the computer, there was only one pic. Hopefully we will be able to get another copy so we can share with everyone. The baby seemed to measure out right and have all of the body parts in the right spot, but my doctor will be going over the ultrasound in more detail at my appointment this week. January can't come fast enough!!!

P.S. We haven't picked out a name yet.

Baby Time

I have made it half-way through this pregnancy! Only 20 more weeks to go! The baby is doing great and I have been feeling a ton better. I have felt the baby kicking a bunch lately and they are still the gentle, enjoyable movements right before the rib busting, knock your breath out kicks. We have a sonogram appointment next week and we should be able to find out the sex of the baby, so stay tuned!

Bedtime Routine

This has quickly become the girls favorite part of their bedtime routine. I think Dave enjoys it a little too.

First Day of School!

Today was the first day of school! I have been back for the last 2 weeks doing in-service, but today all of the kiddos started back. We had a great day! The girls seem to enjoy their new classes and my class is good as well. It should be a busy and fun year for us!
