Birthday Festivities!
Dave and I decided to celebrate Emily's birthday yesterday, Sunday, instead of today for 2 reasons. First, Dave was home and could participate in the all day fun, second, Emily woke up thinking it was her birthday already. We decided to just agree with her and began the celebrations! The day started out with a special breakfast of chocolate chip muffins, Emily's choice. At around lunchtime we packed up a picnic and headed to the park to play. We got there early enough that the heat hadn't set in for the day and there was a nice breeze, so we had a lot of fun. After naps, we played outside some more than had pizza for dinner, again Emily's choice. After dinner Emily opened presents and then we had cake (or rather a triple layer chocolate pie, Emily's choice). We had a great day celebrating Emily turning 4!
